Outline
Our consultation and support service for SENCos is designed to offer a comprehensive opportunity for open, collaborative problem solving and completion of core tasks; develop plans, gain advice and ‘share the load’ with experienced, compassionate and focused practitioners. You will benefit from practical, hands-on support from passionate and creative SENCos with mainstream, specialist teaching and Senior Leadership backgrounds. Having experienced the demands of the role we understand how to support school development, a wide range of SEND, complexities of staff deployment and the day-to-day opportunities and challenges of diverse, busy, and thriving school environments. With a clear understanding of statutory guidance and strong, inclusive, child-centred practice you will receive an entirely bespoke service based on consultation and understanding of need.
Examples of support available:
- Mentoring for new SENCos/Inclusion Managers (occasional/half termly/termly)
- Consultation on referral routes, relevant specialist professionals and local support services
- Fostering consistency across groups of schools/MATs with regards to inclusive practices and systems
- SENCo supervision
- Joint SEND Caseload reviews – planning next steps/follow-up actions
- Provision mapping and costing (individual/group/whole school)
- Creative and bespoke solutions/ideas for personalised plans and provision
- Joint inclusion learning walks
- Reviewing the school’s local offer – information requirements for SEND on website
- Whole school inclusive practice training/support – graduated response
- Induction packages created for new staff based on your school’s/Trust’s specific profile and practice
- Support to gain children’s/young people’s views
- Advising and supporting on best practice for Children In Care (CIC) and Care Experienced Young People (CEYP)
- Auditing – provision, resources, staff development
- Solution-focused problem solving for identified/specific challenges
- Development of an annual plan – key dates, termly focus, organisation of annual reviews/PEPs/’assess, plan, do, review’ cycles
- Assisting with EHCP applications and processes

How will this service be offered?
This service can be offered face-to-face at your setting and also virtually.
Fee
Our service is offered at an hourly/half day/full day rate (please refer to our fees and services document).
